Student Safety & Wellbeing

How we keep children safe, and who to speak to if something is wrong

On campus

  • CCTV coverage of classrooms, corridors, playgrounds and the gates, recorded continuously and monitored from a dedicated room.
  • Controlled entry — visitors are recorded and children are not released to anyone the school does not expect.
  • Staff supervision on every transport route, with children counted on and off at each stop.
  • A clean, maintained campus with safe drinking water and hygienic toilets.

Discipline without punishment

Corporal punishment and verbal humiliation are not permitted here under any circumstances. Discipline at this school is built through routine, example and consistency — the assembly, the uniform, the timetable — not through fear. If a member of staff breaches this, it is a disciplinary matter for that staff member.

Bullying

Bullying, including anything that happens on phones outside school hours, is treated seriously.

  1. Any student, parent or staff member can report it to any teacher or directly to the Principal.
  2. The children involved are heard separately, and both sets of parents are informed.
  3. Outcomes range from counselling and restorative measures to suspension, depending on what happened and whether it has happened before.
  4. Support continues for the affected child for as long as it is needed.

If you need to raise a concern

  1. Class teacher first. Most things are resolved here, usually within a day or two.
  2. Then the Principal. Speak to Ramjiwan Tiwari in person or telephone the office. Expect a response within a week.
  3. Then the Director. Pratibha Tiwari is available to parents and will hear a matter that has not been settled below.
