A school that marks every occasion, because culture and discipline belong together
Annual Day
The most anticipated day of the school calendar. A professionally set stage, LED backdrops, and hundreds of parents in the audience. Classical dance, folk performances, acrobatic pyramids, drama, fancy dress and social-awareness skits — every class takes part and every family turns up.
Independence Day
Observed with full formality. The Director and Principal hoist the flag, NCC cadets stand at attention, and students march in formation along the road carrying the tricolour. Rangoli is laid at the base of the flagpole and the whole school assembles on the ground, buses lined up behind.
Sports Day
A full day outdoors: tug of war, running races, relays and team events, with boys and girls competing and being recognised equally. The day closes with a formal trophy and medal distribution, with guests of honour presenting the awards.
Christmas
Children dress as Santa, perform on the school stage, and make their own decorations — trees, model houses, festive displays. Younger students get a photo-frame activity. Every festival here is celebrated with the same warmth, which is deliberate.
Teacher's Day
Cake cutting in every classroom, hand-drawn banners, and genuine gratitude from Nursery through Class 10. Director Pratibha Tiwari spends part of the day with the youngest children, which tells you something about how the school works.
International Yoga Day
Students, teachers and the Principal practise together in the covered area, everyone on mats side by side regardless of class or position. It is one of the few mornings in the year when the whole school is doing exactly the same thing at the same time.
Holi
The teaching staff, led by the Director and Principal, celebrate together with colour and noise. It is a reminder that the staff room here is not a hierarchy.
Swachh Bharat campaign
Students and staff march through the streets of Lar with placards on plastic pollution and cleanliness, a decorated jeep leading the procession. This is not a classroom exercise — it goes out into the town, which is the point.
Morning assembly
Every school day begins on the ground, students in rows by class, teachers leading, the yellow bus fleet parked behind. It sets the tone of the day, and it happens whether or not anyone is watching.
