About the School
Building character, knowledge and values in the heart of Deoria since 2017
A school with a purpose
Ambedkar International School was founded in 2017 by Rajneesh Tiwari, a man driven by a plain belief: that every child in Lar and the villages around it deserves access to a decent education. His idea was simple and difficult at the same time — build a school that feels like a family, where learning and values are not separate subjects.
After his passing during the Covid period, his wife Pratibha Tiwari took on the responsibility of carrying that work forward, and has done so since. The school today is both his idea and her resolve.
We are affiliated to the UP Board and teach from Nursery through Class 10. Around 500 children are on the rolls, taught by more than 30 teachers and support staff, on a campus with laboratories, smart classrooms, a music room and a covered play area.
What we hold ourselves to
- Academic work comes first. High standards, but every child moves at the pace they can actually manage, with the help they need to keep up.
- Discipline is taught by example. The daily assembly, the uniform, the timetable — none of it is decoration. It is how the school runs.
- Culture is not extracurricular. Every national festival and cultural occasion is celebrated with the whole school taking part.
- Safety is staffed, not assumed. Cameras across the campus, a supervised transport fleet, and a clean site, every day.
- Nobody sits out. From Yoga Day to Sports Day, every child participates.
- Education carries an obligation. Through campaigns such as Swachh Bharat, children learn that what they are given is meant to be given back.
